Sagamore Hills Township, along with Macedonia, Northfield Center, Northfield Village was once known as “Olde Northfield Township.” Indian settlers are recorded as far back as 1807. Olde Northfield Township had its first European settlers in 1806 when it was a wilderness with many wolves, deer, bear, panthers, and wildcats. The township was part of the Connecticut Western Reserve, and regarded as one of the best parts of the reserve because of its fertile, well-drained soil.

When you shop local, you invest in your community, in your neighbors, and in yourselves. In this economic climate, the best return on investment is in local business. It is estimated that for every dollar you spend, twice as much will be reinvested in the community by a local store than a national store.
